Project 1: Movie Poster
A movie poster is a great medium to inspire interests and to create the very first impression of the film, which can make or break the desire of movie-goers to watch the film. A movie poster is basically a glimpse into what the movie is about and therefore it is important to make it reflect the movie as much as possible. The best way to do this is to recreate the main storyline the movie revolves around on the poster. Capturing the essence of the movie in the poster is essential as it dictates all of the design choices you’ll be making. In this project, students will be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills acquired through the prior exercises performed in this class through the design of a movie poster.

Final Outcome
Reflection
In this project, I was able to develop freehand drawing skills through combination of self-expression, natural and man-made object drawing, architectural lettering, tonal values and rendering. Adding on, it also honing my skills in colouring using watercolour or any colouring medium and choosing the right colour palette to capture the essence and express the genre of the film.
